Our Records, From the First Demo to the Last Single
Every record we made is a chapter of Gulch. Here's each one in order, from the first demo to the last single, so you know the story behind the names you'll see around our merch.
What came first?
2017: Demolition of Human Construct. Our demo, a year after we formed in Santa Cruz. It's where the sound started: hardcore, fast and heavy, with grindcore and powerviolence pushing through.
2018: Burning Desire to Draw Last Breath. Our EP. Same band, same speed, a sharper edge.
What's the album?
2020: Impenetrable Cerebral Fortress. Our album, recorded at Atomic Gardens in Oakland. It's the record most people know us for, and its name is on designs in our store.
What came after?
2021: Gulch / Sunami. A split with Sunami.
2022: "Monkey Gone To Heaven". A cover, made for the soundtrack of a comic series, and our last release.
Which designs go with which record?
Not every design is named after a release. Some carry the album title, Impenetrable Cerebral Fortress; others are built around our spiked GULCH logo and artwork of their own, like Accelerator. Each product page tells you what's on the design, so you can see exactly what you're picking.
Where do I start?
- Know one record? Start with the designs that carry its name.
- New to us? Start with the album. Then work back to the demo.
- Want just the logo? Our spiked GULCH logo is on designs of its own.
